Since 2018, Girls on the Run International has recognized volunteers whose extraordinary dedication helps bring our mission to life through our annual Remarkable Volunteer Awards. Local councils across the network nominate these inspiring individuals, whose impact reaches far beyond a single season.

We are thrilled to share that Dereck Webb, Brandi Begin, and Mary Franco received the Remarkable Coaches award as a coaching team. They are teachers and have been coaching Girls on the Run together for many years at Warner Elementary School in Springfield. They bring energy, joy, dedication and commitment to the program and have had an enormous impact on the girls at their school.

We are also excited to announce that Jessica Holloway, our Board President and a Partner and Chief Operating Officer of The Jamrog Group, received the Remarkable Council Supporter award. Jessica first got involved as a Girls on the Run coach at Robin son Elementary School in Agawam back in 2019. She joined the Board of Directors of Girls on the Run Western MA in 2021 and now serves as its President. As Board Chair, Jessica has helped strengthen the organization through exceptional board leadership, strategic fundraising, and an unwavering commitment to helping girls discover how strong they truly are.
